Description

To investigate and interpret available market and retail data, to deliver business insight and optimise brand performance.  Focusing on Category development and identifying opportunities to deliver incremental business benefit. 

Support the On Trade channel with data analysis, providing channel performance visibility and identifying business opportunities for growth. Managing the On Trade database and producing insight reports to measure the brand and human resource performance versus KPIs.  Owning the content and administration, of the sales presenter App and continuously developing its content and capability.      

Key Responsibilities:

To support and drive the category development by analysing and interpreting trends from Category and consumer  data and turn in to actionable insight, that supports the company strategy.

To support the creation of customer presentations with category insight and range management recommendations, to allow Business Account Managers to deliver recommendations, based on insight, to the trade.

Collating and updating the field sales team presenter App, with up to date information from Category data sources, Brands and Category Team.

Supporting Business with data and reporting that reviews the effectiveness of the Channel strategy. 

Support new and existing On Trade recruits with end user training and be seen as expert of the system.

Be proactive in the utilisation of the database and how it can be used to generate new business and explore ways to maximise its full potential.

Support the On Trade with reports and analysis of sales and investment via internal systems for budgets and monthly reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Analytical capability – decision making based on turning data evaluation to actionable insight

High level of IT skills, with Excel and Database interaction experience 

Good communication skills (oral and written)

Good interpersonal skills / relationship building

Ability to be adaptable and prioritising effectively 

Category Management experience preferable.

An understanding of the UK On Trade and their operations would be preferable

Commercial understanding – understands impact of decisions on profitability

Ability to be adaptable and prioritising effectively.

Track record of key stakeholder engagement and influence 

Personal Characteristics:

Strong, confident communicator with good influencing and interpersonal skills to interact at all levels of the business whilst challenging constructively

Demonstrates professionalism, credibility, trust and respect both internally and externally

Strong relationship management skills with the ability to network across functions and influence internally and externally.

Ability to travel within the UK to deliver the strategy via the team within the customer base.
